Seit einigerzeit benutzen wir statt Kerzen elektronische Duftlampen

Mein Mann liebt es duftig., und auch mir gefällt es.  Bei der Renovierung vor drei Jahren beschlossen wir keine Duftkerzen mehr anzuschaffen.  Sie verrußten die Wohnung wo die Kerzen standen. Nun fehlte uns jedoch der Duft. Also musste eine Alternative her,  es dauerte gar nicht lange und wir  hatten durch eine liebe Kollegin von der Firma Scentsy erfahren, die elektronische Duftlampen aus natürlichen Düften herstellt.  Und dieser Duft zieht nun samt meinen Kaffeeduft durch unsere Wohnung.

Meine Woche war eigentlich ganz in Ordnung, Montag und Dienstag hatte ich ein Seminar, was ich sehr gut fand. Zum Stricken und lesen komme ich im Augenblick so gut wie garnicht mehr.

Heute wollen wir Badminton spielen und danach werde ich versuchen mich erneut an mein T-Shirt setzten. Das Schnittmuster habe ich bereits gestern ausgeschnitten und heute möchte ich den Stoff zuschneiden.

Am Donnerstag habe ich die Balkonkästen mit den überresten der Blumen entsorgt, da ich ein wenig Bedenken hatte, dass der Sturm die Kästen eventuell durch die Luft wirbelt. Aber zum Glück ging der Sturm an Berlin einigermaßen ohne größere Katastrophen an uns vorbei.

So mehr gabe es bei mir diese Woche nicht. Ich werde mich nun zu Andrea an Tisch setzen und mit Euch plauschen.

For some time we have used electronic scents instead of candles
My husband loves it fragrant., And I also like it. During the renovation three years ago we decided not to buy any fragrance candles anymore. They soot the apartment where the candles were. Now, however, the scent was missing. So it had to be an alternative, it did not take long and we had learned from a dear colleague of the company Scentsy, which produces electronic scents from natural fragrances. And this fragrance, along with my coffee, passes through our apartment.
My week was actually all right, Monday and Tuesday I had a seminar, which I found very good. For the knitting and reading I am at the moment as good as nothing more.
Today we want to play Badminton and then I will try again to put my T-shirt. I cut the pattern already yesterday and today I want to cut the fabric.
On Thursday, I dispose of the balcony boxes with the remains of the flowers, as I had a little bit of concern that the storm might whirl the boxes through the air. But fortunately, the storm passed on to Berlin, without major catastrophes.
This is not the case with me this week. I will sit down at Andrea and chat with you.

Ein Fehler holt mich ein/An Mistake brings me in

Ich habe neulich bei Zick Zack zwei Jerseystoffe erstanden. Aus dem einen hatte ich mir ein Shirt mit Stehkragen gemacht. Aus dem zweiten Stoff wollte ich mir ein T-Shirt von Pattydoo machen, die Liv.
Die Anleitung hatte ich bereits da und auch schon alles zusammengeklebt und zu der entsprechenden Größe ausgeschnitten und dann auch den Stoff zugeschnitten. Ich habe aber einen ziemlich großen Fehler begangen. Ich bin von meiner normalen Größe ausgegangen und habe nicht weiter auf die Anleitung geschaut und natürlich auch nicht nachgemessen.
Am Sonntag war ich dann soweit und habe die Anprobe vollzogen. Bingo, das tolle Shirt ist ziemlich Figurbetonend. Zu betonend. Ärgerlich. Nun habe ich mir die Anleitung erneut vorgenommen und siehe da, der Fehler lag natürlich bei mir. Ich hätte mir wirklich die Anleitung mit den Größen genau durchlesen und nachmessen müssen. Das habe ich versäumt und habe nun ein zu kleines Shirt. Ärger...
Mein Mann hat mich versucht, zu trösten und meinte wenn ich ein wenig mehr Sport mache würde ich da schon reinpassen. Die Zuversicht fehlt mir leider.
Um zu vermeiden, dass es Dir auch so geht, denk an mein Mißgeschick.
Ach übrigens, ich war gestern wieder bei Zick Zack und ratet mal, ja ich werde das Shirt nun noch einmal,  aber in der richtigen Größe,  nähen.

 I recently bought two jerseys at Zick Zack. From the one I had made a shirt with stand-up collar. From the second fabric I wanted to make a t-shirt of Pattydoo, the Liv.
The instructions I had already there and already everything glued together and cut to the appropriate size and then also the fabric cut. But I have made a pretty big mistake. I have gone out of my normal size and did not look further at the instructions and of course not measured.
On Sunday I was so far and I made the fitting. Bingo, the great shirt is quite figurbetonend. To emphasize. Annoying. Now I have the guidance again made and lo and behold, the mistake was naturally with me. I would really have to read the instructions with the sizes exactly and have to measure. I missed that and now I have a too small shirt. Trouble...
My husband has tried to comfort me and said if I do a little more sports I would be already there. I'm sorry, unfortunately.
To avoid that you do so, think of my misfortune.
Oh, by the way, I was back at Zick Zack yesterday and guess, yes, I'll sew the shirt again, but in the right size.

 

Mein vorläufiger Näharbeitsplatz/My temporary sewing workplace

Wir waren heute bei IKEA. Es war die Hölle los. Die Menschen wollten alle dem Regen entfliehen.
Für die nächsten 6 Monate haben wir ein freies Zimmer. Der Sohn meines Mannes hat einen Job auf Zypern angenommen und daher haben wir ein Zimmer frei, was ich fürs Nähen, Bügeln oder mein Mann für seine Fotografie nutzen können.
Damit ich einen Tisch habe, wo ich die Nähmaschine abstellen kann und eventuell auch etwas zuschneiden kann, waren wir bei IKEA auf der Suche und sind auch fündig geworden. Und wenn der Kleine dann wieder da ist, kann er den Tisch als Schreibtisch nutzen.
Und hier ist ein Foto von meinen vorläufigem Näharbeitsplatz.
Morgen werde ich mich daran probieren.

We were at IKEA today. Hell was going on. People all wanted to escape the rain.
For the next 6 months we have a free room. The son of my husband has accepted a job in Cyprus and therefore we have a room free, which I can use for sewing, ironing or my husband for his photography.
So that I have a table, where I can turn off the sewing machine and possibly also cut something, we were at the IKEA on the search and have also found. And when Jan is back, he can use the table as a desk.
And here is a photo of my temporary sewing workplace.
Tomorrow I will try.

 Es gefällt mir sehr gut, ich kann wenn ich will, nun alles einfach mal stehen lassen und muss nicht auf und abbauen. Der Esstisch ist wieder frei.

I like it very much, I can if I just want to leave everything and just do not have to build up and the dining table is free again.

Samstagsplausch 07/17/Saturday Chat

Für mich verging die Woche wie im Flug. Am Dienstag habe ich Homeoffice gemacht. Das ist immer sehr entspannt. Abends hatten wir dann in unserem Lieblingsrestaurant ein 3 Gänge Menue, welches dort extra zum Valentinstag statt findet, was sehr schön war. Mein Mann hat mir einen schönen Blumenstrauß geschenkt. Unser Auto hat TÜV bekommen, und der Sohn meines Mannes ist gut in Zypern gelandet, worüber wir sehr froh sind.
Den Zahnarztbesuch haben wir auch erledigt. Es war nur eine Durchsicht.
Am Mittwoch kam ich dann wieder auf Arbeit an und habe noch ein ganz tolles Geschenk vorgefunden. Marion hat mir ein Marienkäfernadelkissen geschenkt. Ich habe mich sehr darüber gefreut. Durch den einen Tag Homeoffice ging die Woche sehr schnell vorbei.
Gestern waren wir mit einer lieben Freundin in unseren kleinen Weinlokal und haben die Woche nett ausklingen lassen.
Wie war denn Eure Woche? Das werde ich nun erfahren, wenn ich mich bei Andrea an den Tisch setze.
 For me, the week was like flying. On Tuesday I made Homeoffice. This is always very relaxed. In the evening we had in our favorite restaurant a three course dinner, which took place there for Valentine's Day, which was very nice. My husband gave me a beautiful bouquet. Our car has got TUV, and the son of my husband has landed well in Cyprus, which we are very glad about.
On Wednesday I came back to work again and found a very great gift. Marion has given me a Marienkäfern pillowcases. I've been very happy about it. Through the one day Homeoffice, the week passed very quickly.
Yesterday we were with a dear friend in our little wine village and have a nice end of the week.
How was your week? I will now learn this when I sit at Andrea's table.

Eine weiße Strickjacke/One white knitwear Cardian

Heute zeige Euch mal meine schöne weiße Strickjacke. Die Wolle und die Anleitung habe ich bereits im Frühjahr 2015 gekauft. Leider weiß ich nicht mehr, wie die Wolle hieß. Ich weiß aber, dass es 100 % Baumwolle ist. Ich habe die Jacke in einem Stück bis zu den Ärmelausschnitten gestrickt. Es war super einfach, man hatte nur sehr viele Maschen auf der Nadel. Ich weiß noch genau, ich bin am 18. März mit meiner Freundin zur Kreativa nach Dortmund gefahren und wir haben im Zug gesessen und gestrickt. Beim einpacken des Strickzeugs sind mir dann leider die dünnen Holznadeln, die in rechteckiger Form waren zerbrochen. Wie gut, dass wir zur Messe wollten. Da habe ich mir dann gleich ein paar neue Nadeln kaufen müssen. Dieses Erlebnis hängt mit dem Strickbeginn der Jacke zusammen. Manche Dinge brauchen seine Zeit.
Es ist mal eine andere Form der klassischen Strickjacke und mir gefällt sie sehr gut und daher geht die Jacke heute zum RUMS.

That it is 100% cotton. I knitted you in one piece up to the sleeves. It was super easy, you only had a lot of stitches on the needle. I know exactly, I drove on 18 March with my girlfriend to the Kreativa to Dortmund and we sat in the train and knitted. When packing the knitting tool, unfortunately, the thin wooden needles, which were in rectangular shape were broken. How good that we were going to the fair. Then I have to buy a few new needles. This experience depends on the beginning of the knitting of the jacket. Some things take time.
It is another form of the classic cardigan and I like it very well and therefore the jacket today goes to the RUMS.

Samstagsplausch 06/17/Saturday Chat

Die Woche ist für mich wie im Flug vergangen. Durch die Kälte war ich lieber drinnen als draußen. Habe am Mittwoch etwas Yoga angefangen und meine Übungen mit dem Theraband gemacht. Muss ich nur wieder dran bleiben. Seit dem 1. Februar machen wir eine zuckerfreie Zeit, und ich kann Euch sagen dass Einkaufen und Essen ist schon mega anstrengend. Man muss sehr genau lesen, was in den Lebensmitteln drin ist. Wir machen dass mit einer kleinen Gruppe auf Arbeit, und nur für vier Wochen. Wobei ich mir vorgenommen habe, es weiter zu machen. Mal sehen, ob ich das schaffe. Seufz. Aber mir geht es einfach besser ohne den Zuckerkonsum.
Ansonsten habe ich am Montag mit Marions Hilfe begonnen mit dem Sockenstricken. Ich bin aber noch nicht sehr weit gekommen. Bei den 17 Sockenpaaren von Andrea bin ich nicht dabei. Das dauert noch Jahre ehe ich soweit bin.
Das Nähen hat auch geruht, aber ich hoffe ich kann das heute ändern. Ich werde die Männer zum Badminton schicken und dann werde ich hoffentlich loslegen und ein Date mit der Nähmaschine haben.
Mein Foto (welches mein Mann gemacht hat) zeigt einen Zitronengrastee mit Ingwer. Denn nur Wasser trinken ist auf Dauer etwas fade. Da braucht man neue Ideen. So nun setzte ich mich zu Andrea und horche, was sich bei Euch so getan hat.

The week has gone by for me. Because of the cold, I'd rather be inside than outside. I started doing some yoga on Wednesday and did my exercises with Theraband. I just have to stay tuned again. Since February 1st we have a sugar-free time, and I can tell you that shopping and eating is already mega exhausting. You have to read very carefully what is in the food. We do that with a small group on work, and only for four weeks. Where I have made it, to continue it. Let's see if I can do it. Sigh But I'm simply better without the sugar consumption.
Otherwise, I started on Monday with Marion's help with the sock knitting. But I have not come very far yet. I am not with the 17 sock pairs of Andrea. It will take years before I get there.
Sewing has also deigned, but I hope I can change that today. I will send the men to the Badminton and then I will hopefully get started and have a date with the sewing machine.
My photo (which my husband made) shows a lemongrass with ginger. Because only drinking water is a bit bland in the long run. You need new ideas. So now I sat down to Andrea and listen to what has happened to you.

Samstagsplausch 05/17/Saturday Chat

Wir haben bereits Februar und es ist wieder Samstag. Wie schnell diese Woche vergangen ist.
Ich war viel unterwegs. Am Montag habe ich mich mit einer Freundin getroffen und ganz viel geredet. Es war ein sehr schöner Tag. Wir kennen uns nun auch schon über 20 Jahre. Wir haben beschlossen, dass wir beim nächsten Treffen mal in das Naturkundemuseum gehen wollen. Ich war da glaube ich noch nie. Am Dienstag habe ich meine alte Nähmaschine von der Durchsicht beim Nähmaschinenladen in Berlin Neuköln abgeholt und habe gleich noch eine super gute Einweisung in meine neue Janome Maschine bekommen.
Gestern waren wir im B5 Outletcenter mein Mann war sehr erfolgreich und ich habe nur geguckt. Ich wollte nichts kaufen. Danach waren wir noch bei IKEA, wir benötigen für unseren 9 Jahre alten Schlafzimmerschrank eine Schubladenschiene die IKEA nicht mehr herstellt. Leider gab es dort auch keine Schiene dieses Formates. Wir müssen uns etwas anderes einfallen lassen. 
Heute wollen wir mit der Kamera durch unsere Stadt und uns auf die Suche nach interessanten Fotomotiven begeben. Und wenn dann noch Zeit ist, na Ihr wißt schon, ruft die Nähmaschine. Nun setzte ich mich zu Andrea an den Tisch und werde mit Euch über Eure Woche plauschen. Vorher kommt hier noch ein wenig Farbe, meine Orchidee ist so schön am Blühen, dass möchte ich Euch zeigen.

 We already have February and it is Saturday again. How fast this week has passed. I Travelled a lot. On Monday I met with a friend and talked a lot. It was a beautiful day. We've known each other for more than 20 years now. We decided to go to the Naturkundemuseum at the next meeting. I was there I never believe. On Tuesday I picked up my old sewing machine from the inspection at the sewing machine shop in Berlin Neuköln and got a very good introduction into my new Janome machine.
Yesterday we were at the B5 Outletcenter my husband was very successful and I just looked. I did not want to buy anything. After that we were still at IKEA, we need for our 9 year old bedroom cabinet a drawer rail the IKEA no longer manufactures. Unfortunately there was also no rail of this format. We must think of something else.
Today, we want to go through the city with our camera and search for interesting photographs. And if there is still time, you know, calls the sewing machine. Now I sat down at Andrea's table and will talk with you about your week. Before this comes a little color, my orchid is so beautiful in flowering, that I would like to show you.

T-Shirt mit Stehkragen/T-shirt with stand-up collar

Ich mag im Winter keine dunklen und tristen Farben. Die Jahreszeit ist schon ziemlich düster. Zur Zeit mag ich T-Shirts mit Stehkragen. Auf der Suche nach einem Schnittmuster bin ich bei KARL gelandet. Das ist eigentlich ein Kleid von Schneidermeistern. Ich habe das Kleid als T-Shirt umgewandelt. Den Stoff habe ich mir bei Zick Zack gekauft. Es ist ziemlich schwierig einen hellen freundlichen Stoff zu bekommen. Ich bin dann aber fündig geworden und habe diesen mintfarbenen Jerseystoff gefunden.
Der Schnitt ist einfach, und nachdem ich heraus bekommen habe, wie das mit dem Stehkragen funktioniert, habe ich es gut hin bekommen. Ich würde nur bei den nächsten Mal den Stehkragen kürzen, mir ist er etwas zu lang.

I do not like dark and drab colors in winter. The season is quite bleak. At the moment I like T-Shirts with stand-up collar. In the search for a cut pattern, I landed at KARL. This is actually a dress of tailors. I changed the dress as a T-shirt. I bought the fabric at Zick Zack. It is quite difficult to get a bright friendly fabric. I then became puddle and found this mint colored jersey fabric.
The cut is simple, and after I got out, how the collar worked, I got it done well. I would only shorten the stand-up collar for the next time, it is a bit too long for me.
